Tidbury lies to the south of Riseley and was originally a farm which was later swallowed up by the Royal Aircraft Establishment.
This area is haunted by the Tidbury ghost. A local resident, Eric Hancock, was out late one night when he saw a white figure. It crossed the road from the left then vanished as it started to walk across the fields to Tidbury Farm. The farm has since been swallowed up by the Royal Aircraft Establishment and no recent sightings have been reported. There is, however, one path within the site that makes the guard dogs' hackles rise.
