General
Calverton has an ancient history as analysis of archaeological finds made in the area revealed that they covered a period from the fifteenth century back to the middle of the Iron Age (about 300 BCE). The name is derived from the Old English cealf and tun meaning ‘calves farm'. The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book when it had the name Calvretone. In the 2001 Census the parish population was 177.

Gib or George Lane
In the area of Gib or George Lane a woman was robbed and murdered. Now her spirit walks the area where the crime took place. People have also reported seeing her in the back of their car as they drive down the lane.
We are not too sure about this one, mainly due to the fact that we can not find either Gib or George Lane in Calverton.
