Unfortunately we have been unable to find any information on Gustard Wood, its origins and history. If anyone out there has any information then please let us know.
The Tin Pot in is said to have been one of the haunts of Katherine Ferrers, The Wicked Lady, who would use the pub to change into her highwayman gear. One night two people staying in the room Katherine had used were disturbed by the feeling of a strange presence. The feeling affected them so much that one of them wrote a poem about the experience which was put up in the bar.
