Unfortunately we have been unable to find any information on Hook’s Cross, its origins and history. If anyone out there has any information then please let us know.
The road from Hertford to Stevenage is used quite regularly by a Hertford woman going to visit her mother in Stevenage. At Hook’s Cross she has often seen three ghostly women sitting on the grass verge, usually at sundown.
