The feeling of a presence

General

Panshanger is a large conurbation to the northeast of Welwyn Garden City and takes its name from nearby Panshanger Park. The park was designed in 1801 by Humphrey Repton though little now remains especially as the area has been used for mineral extraction.

Local House

The owner of a house in Panshanger was very disturbed by the constant feeling of a presence that was never seen. Things became so bad that she was seriously thinking of selling the house. Before doing so, however, she called in a psychic who told her that she sensed a woman from the eighteenth century who was desperately searching the house for her child. The psychic managed to make contact with the spirit and after that her presence was no longer felt.
