March’s investigation saw LPS investigating the spooky Ancient Ram Inn in Wootton-Under-Edge, Gloucester. Due to unforeseen circumstances LPS had to share the investigation with members of another group, Spiritseekers2004. This was an opportunity to work alongside another paranormal group. Our members were impressed by Spiritseekers professional approach to the night’s investigation. The Inn is though to have been built in the 1100’s so with all its long history it’s not surprising that some of its past occupants may be reluctant to leave…

Ram Inn Orb
There are several rooms within the building that are said to be haunted. Sightings include a cavalier, a witch, monks and a large black cat that scratches its unsuspecting victims. The night turned up some interesting occurrences. One member reported having her ear touched and a feeling of something standing on her foot in the Witches Room. When observed under light, 
it appeared to be red and swollen and a scratch mark was felt. Did the big black cat make an appearance on this vigil? An infra-red camera was set up in the Men’s Kitchen, which was hooked up to a TV monitor in the control room. This caught orbs around the groups as they carried out their vigils. Light anomalies were also captured on digital, video camera and some were even witnessed by members with the naked eye in the Barn, Attic and Bishop’s Room. Strange noises were heard in the barn and some members felt odd and unwell. Some strange noises were also caught on Dictaphone in the Barn.
Other successes of the night were trigger objects. Objects left in the Attic did move when left under controlled circumstances. Cold and warm spots were also recorded in various locations during the night. Strange noises were also heard in the Men’s Kitchen. There were other groups in rooms above this part of the inn but these sounds were concluded to be unexplainable as they were different to the obvious noises being made by other groups and they were also heard within the room. The night spent at the Ancient Ram Inn was thoroughly enjoyable. Every group experienced strange phenomena and it was good to meet another paranormal group and investigate this truly beautiful yet bizarre house. LPS members wouldn’t hesitate at the chance to re-investigate the Ancient Ram Inn.
