LPS Trip to Ghostfest '05

4th June 2005

Saturday June 4th LPS members attended a brand new event to hit the paranormal scene. Ghostfest, which is organised by Ghosthunters UK, was an all day event including live debates, lectures and stalls. The aim of the event was to bring technology, spirituality and ghost hunting together. There were various stalls in the exhibition hall which included equipment, such as thermal imaging cameras and sensitive temperature readers for use on investigations, spiritual items such as crystals, runes, angels, witchcraft and even a stall which offered guests to have a photograph taken of their aura.

There was a debate on the existence of ghosts and mediums ability to communicate with them. The debate was between Tony Youens (Sceptic) and Wendy Isaacs (Believer) of BSPRI (Bristol Society for Paranormal Research and Investigation). The debate proved to be a lively one with interesting views given from both sides and some interesting questions given from the audience. Not surprisingly, all the questions and comments were to the sceptic! All of the LPS members that attended enjoyed the opportunity for the society to meet up again with friends from other paranormal groups and meet new groups from all around the country.
