The Lilley Arms Barn Investigation

25th May 2007

At the end of May, Luton Paranormal had the opportunity to investigate the barn at The Lilley Arms PH. There have been several sightings in the barn by staff and also by members of the public, as the barn is a venue for social functions. Prior to the investigation, some members had visited the barn with owner Sylvia, after the clubs 4th birthday meal held at the pub, earlier in May. Things seemed to be happening even then, as some members heard a loud thud from the back of the barn whilst Sylvia was talking. The investigation looked promising.

On the night, the team carried out its usual procedures before starting the vigils. A baseline test was conducted at the start of the evening and all the recording equipment and trigger objects were set up. The vigil teams were made up into small groups of two and three, covering all areas of the barn. During the course of the vigils, various red and white lights were seen, noises were heard and temperature drops were experienced. Some interesting points to note are that members in separate groups were experiencing the same light anomalies with the naked eye and hearing similar noises at different times during the investigation but in the same areas. Possible explanations were checked for these experiences but no conclusions could be made. The evening finished with an Ouija board experiment but unfortunately this did not produce any results. The Luton Paranormal Society would like to thank Sylvia and The Lilley Arms for the opportunity to investigate the barn.
