Knife and Cleaver, Houghton Conquest Investigation
28th November 2008
Luton Paranormal’s SPI:RIT team were called into action in November 2008 to investigate the strange goings on at The Knife & Cleaver PH in Houghton Conquest.
Well known to LPS as a haunted pub, LPS were excited to receive a call from pub owner Susan to request an investigation.
The pub can be traced back to at least 1822, which is when the pub is first mentioned by name. Records of a pub do go back as far as 1796 but without it being named it is impossible to know if this relates to the Knife & Cleaver due to other public houses present in Houghton Conquest.
A few members of the SPI:RIT team made a pre-investigation visit to the pub to conduct baseline tests and discuss the investigation with Susan.
The investigation took place on 28th November 2008 and was one of the most interesting investigations to date for Luton Paranormal.
