Long Crendon - St Mary's Church
and Ellesborough - St Peter's Church Investigation

27th February 2009

For the first of two locations for February's second investigation; LPS travelled over to Long Crendon on the west side of Buckinghamshire. The investigation took place at the church dedicated to St Mary the Virgin where a grey lady is said to haunt the churchyard and will glide away from you to keep her secret. What that secret is no one knows.

LPS travelled east to Ellesborough for the second location of the night. The Church dedicated to St Peter and St Paul sits high above the road and it is reported to have three ghostly visitors. A fourteenth century ghost has been witnessed entering the church and disappearing behind a pillar while a woman in white is seen walking from the organ towards the black marble slabs on the floor only to disappear into one of them. It is thought the lady in white felt an unrequited love for a Reverend in the 1600s.

This particular Investigation concluded with a very strange experience!
