Swanbourne, St Swithin and Varsity Line Investigation

27th March 2009

For the last investigation in March, LPS travelled to Swanbourne in Buckinghamshire to investigate two sites. The first of which was St Swithin's Church for the reports of a ghost that is said to walk between the old manor house and the church. The ghost of Elizabeth Adams, dressed in green, has often been sighted walking from the site of the old manor house to the church opposite. The manor house, although altered, still exists as a building and is now a school.

It is said that Elizabeth still walks to her husband Thomas’ grave, which is situated inside the church, looking for the men who robbed and murdered him.

LPS then travelled a short distance to investigate a disused railway line; The Varsity Line.
