Minsden Chapel Investigation

17th April 2009

LPS first visited Minsden Chapel back in 2003. Being the early days of the Luton Paranormal Society, no vigils were conducted but nothing paranormal of note was recorded during the visit.

It was suggested by a member as a site to investigate and was readily accepted as it is documented as being haunted by a monk at midnight on the eve of All Hallows and the sound of faint music has also been heard.

To the East of the Chapel lies the grave of Reginald Hine; a local historian who did extensive research in to the Chapel. In 1907 during a visit to Minsden Chapel, Reginald’s companion is said to have taken a picture of the ghostly monk in the Chapel remains. Reginald Hine committed suicide in 1949 by calmly and strangely stepping out in front of a train at Hitchin Station whilst talking with friends.
