Amersham Old Town Investigation
22nd May 2009
The second investigation of May took place at Amersham Old Town. With records dating back as early as 796AD, it is not surprising that there are several noted hauntings in the historical town.
The first part of the investigation saw members conducting vigils around St Mary’s Church. As usual on LPS investigations, members were not told of the hauntings, which in this case, was a strange one to say the least; a hovering man with a wheelbarrow.
The second sites LPS investigated were Parsonage Wood and Rectory Hill which are a short stroll away from the Church. Rectory Hill is again haunted by the hovering man with a wheelbarrow and Parsonage Wood is said to be haunted by the villainous Dick Turpin; seen riding his horse through the wood.
