Bolter End - Hanover Hill Investigation

31st July 2009

On a damp July evening LPS travelled to Bolter End in Buckinghamshire to investigate Hanover Hill.

On a snowy December day in 1973, a girl was walking over a field towards Hanover Hill when she saw a woman in a red dress, without a coat, on the cold winter’s day. The story goes that a lady called Anna from Lane End, became ill and died ten days before she was due to be married. She was also sad to have loved the colour red. Her apparition was a common sight in the 40’s and 60’s and was said to be seen around late afternoon.

Was it Anna the girl had seen?

LPS visited this location first with the intention of conducting a second investigation as Wheeler End as Anna’s ghost has also been witnessed there but the weather took an unexpected turn and consistent rain prevented LPS investigating at Wheeler End on this occasion. LPS plan to return to the locations next year.
