Can we help you or do you have a site we could investigate?

LPS are always looking for sites to investigate and are always willing to help people who are being badly affected by purported paranormal occurrences. If you have a site that you feel would be interesting to investigate then why not let us know by contacting Steph by

If you feel that your home or business is haunted then we can investigate the site and give you our opinion as to the cause of the occurrences. We are open-minded and will not just class something as being of paranormal origin until we have eliminated all natural causes. If we do decide that yours is a genuine haunting then we will do whatever we can to help you.

If we are called in to investigate the site then we will start by interviewing the concerned parties to find out the background and what has been happening at the site. Notes taken at this initial meeting will form part of the report that we provide to the people who call us in. We will also discuss how we undertake the investigation and check whether there is anything you do not want us to do (e.g. Ouija board). We will then arrange for a date to do the investigation which would normally be 3 to 4 weeks after the initial interview. This intervening time will be spent by us in fully researching the site, it's history and previous occupiers of the site, name information is useful if any of the team investigating the site come up with any names as we can then check if the name belonged to a former occupant. All of this information will again form part of the final report.

Prior to the investigation we will also meet as a group to decide on how the investigation should be done, teams, rooms to investigate and the equipment to be used. On the night we will record everything and keep extensive notes. After the investigation all of the recorded information will be watched/listened to and anything interesting extracted. If there is any interesting footage, still images or sound recordings then they will form part of a DVD we will produce of the investigation. Each member will report on their findings and this data will also form part of the final report. This comprehensive report and any DVD will be given to you as a record of the investigation when we meet with you for a follow-up to let you know what we found. This document also includes the details from this page (under the headings Investigation of Private or Business Sites and Private or Business Site - Policy).

Important information - Paranormal Investigation of Private or Business Site - Policy

We do not charge for an investigation or for the reports/DVD that we produce but we do ask for the person who calls us in to pay a refundable deposit. Unfortunately due to some owners of private premises not fulfilling their part of an investigation agreement with LPS we have had to implement this policy to cover the cost of petrol and charges which are sometimes made by others for us to use data (charges for photocopies etc, as well as online charges for accessing some research websites). In addition we spend 50 to 100 hours doing the research before the investigation.

These late cancellations have forced us to change our policy so we now ask for a £30 deposit which will be returned on the night of the investigation if the investigation goes ahead. After the initial meeting we will not start our research for 7 days during which time you can contact us to cancel the investigation and we will return your deposit. After 7 days we will start our research whereupon the money will only be refundable when the investigation is done. If you have to cancel after 7 days, and before the day of the investigation, then the deposit will still be refundable if a new investigation date is arranged, this new date must be within 4 weeks of the original investigation date. This deposit will be waived for registered charities and at our discretion.

We have created a document which details an equitable agreement between the owner/occupier/agent of a site and LPS which must be signed by both parties before any research of the site is done and before an investigation can take place.
